MOENA
Verse 1
I don't know what to say to you
you're not being too kind
This world has it's chains around you
but this pain is all mine
Pre-Chorus
so we're going down, down,
down to our knees
and don't let me down, down,
oh please.
Chorus
So just tell me I'm loved baby
Hold me real tight and then don't let me go
Kiss me real warm sugar
as soft as the night that you carried me home
These warm summer nights got me feeling like uh oh, uh oh, oh
oooo
Verse 2
I don't know what to do about you
It's like you're beggin' for me
Your love has it's chains arounds us
and you won't let me be
Pre-Chorus
so we're going down, down,
down to our knees
and don't let me down, down,
oh please.
Chorus
So just tell me I'm loved baby,
hold me real tight and then don't let me go
kiss me real warm sugar,
as soft as the night that you carried me home
These warm summer nights got me feeling like uh oh, uh oh, oh
Bridge
cause baby there's something cold about you!
My mind's on repeat;
there's something warm about you too.
It's in your eyes
yes they shine like the night
it's in your smile
yes it's so, so bright,
these warm summer nights got me feeling like
uh oh, uh oh, oh
oooo
Chorus:
So just tell me I'm loved baby,
hold me real tight and then don't let me go.
kiss me real warm sugar, as soft as the night that you carried me home.
These warm summer nights got me feeling like uh oh, uh oh, oh
oooo
This song is about a tough breakup that I went through. I was trying to hold onto the relationship by praying and pleading for his love, but with all my efforts the relationship still went "down, down, down".

The first song that I wrote was when I was around 8 or 9 years old and it came very natural to me. Of course at that time I didn't know too much about music and I didn't think that it would as big of a part of my life as it currently is right now. Fast forward about 10 years, and my passion for writing music is undeniable and a great cause to pursue. [collapse]

In 2017, I had the opportunity to play the first clarinet part for an art film premiered at the LACMA. This film was Frances Stark's "The Magic Flute" which of course is an original opera by Mozart. This experience along with all the other wonderful playing opportunities that I've had really have shaped my love for both art and music. [collapse]
