I wanted to put my storytelling/narrative songwriting skills into practice, and decided to create a song dedicated to my grandparents. When I was creating this song, I wanted to include some things that I couldn't really manage to do with my last narrative/storytelling song, 8-15-03 and unlike my previous narrative song that I made, this one has a more settled chorus that reinstates itself between every 3-4 verses of the song, and a concluding verse that reflects the initiating statement verse of the song where my grandma makes some beans in her hometown for her and my grandpa to enjoy. The English translation will be at the bottom of the lyrics tab for you to read. Unlike my first attempt of making a narrative/storytelling song, I feel like this one is more catchy and it makes sense! The only down side is that the melody of the chorus is very influenced by a mariachi song called, "No me se rajar" by Vicente Fernandez in which I need to fix. What do you guys think?
